FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Before you start hosting
Do I need teaching qualifications to host?
No. Ngongo is not asking you to become a teacher or create a course. You need genuine real-world experience and something worthwhile that visitors can understand by spending time with you.
Should I offer Discovery or Immersion?
Choose Discovery if a shorter 2–4 hour visit works best around what you do. Choose Immersion if visitors can spend several days with you for deeper access. You can offer one or both.
What is a Support Call?
A Support Call is an optional paid 30- or 60-minute online follow-up with someone who has already completed an eligible in-person experience with you.
It lets them reconnect later as real questions, problems or decisions arise.
Who can book my Support Calls?
Only previous visitors who have completed an eligible Discovery or Immersion with you. Support Calls are not open consultations for people who have never visited you.
Can I control when people visit me?
Yes. You choose your availability, dates, duration, visitor numbers and the amount of access you are comfortable providing.
How should I set my price?
Consider the value of your time and access, preparation required, visit duration, number of visitors and anything included. You remain in control of your pricing.
Can I include accommodation, meals or transport?
Yes. You can include accommodation, meals, transport, materials or other extras where they genuinely support the experience. Be clear about what is and is not included.
What happens after I sign up?
Complete your expert profile and tell people your story. Then create a Discovery or Immersion, add your dates, duration, visitor capacity, price, inclusions and practical information, and publish it when ready.
Can I create more than one experience?
Yes. You can create different Discovery or Immersion experiences around different parts of what you do.
Do I have to change what I normally do for visitors?
No. The point is to let people experience the real work you already do. You decide what they can observe, ask about or take part in.
How do I earn on Ngongo?
You set a price for people to book time with you. Ngongo provides the marketplace for discovery, bookings, payments and communication.
After an eligible in-person visit, you can also earn additional income through optional Support Calls.
