My Story
I started with a strong interest in cattle and the business opportunity around pen fattening. Like many people, I had to learn by doing — understanding which cattle to buy, how to feed them properly, how long to keep them, how to manage costs and when to sell.
Over time, I built practical experience around the decisions that make the biggest difference: selecting the right animals, controlling feed costs, monitoring weight gain, managing risk and finding the right market.
What I value most is the real-world knowledge that only comes from being involved in the business yourself. Through Ngongo, I open selected days for people who want to see the operation firsthand, ask questions and understand what pen fattening really involves before committing their own money.
I’m not offering a classroom or a course. I’m giving people access to my real working environment, the lessons I’ve learned and the mistakes I would avoid if I were starting again.

I’ve built a working pen fattening operation where I buy cattle, feed them intensively, manage their condition and costs, and sell them into the market at the right time.
I started small and learned how important the numbers are. A typical cycle might involve **20–50 cattle**, with each animal costing around **US$350–US$500 to buy**, depending on size, breed and market conditions. Feed, veterinary costs, transport and labour can add another **US$100–US$200 per animal** over the fattening period.
That means a 30-cattle cycle can easily involve **US$13,500–US$21,000+ of capital**, so small mistakes become expensive very quickly.
The aim is to improve the condition and value of each animal over roughly **60–120 days**, then sell at a margin that justifies the feed, labour, transport and risk.
Through running the operation, I’ve built practical experience in:

* controlling feed costs
* monitoring weight and condition

Before You Book
This is a real working cattle environment, not a classroom or staged demonstration. You’ll be spending time around livestock, feeding areas, pens and the normal day-to-day activity of a pen fattening operation.
Physical environment: Expect uneven ground, dust, mud and close proximity to cattle.
Clothing: Wear practical clothes, closed shoes or boots, and clothing you don’t mind getting dusty or dirty.
Accessibility: Some areas may be difficult to access for visitors with limited mobility. Contact me before booking if you have specific accessibility requirements.
Age requirements: Visitors under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
Safety: You must follow all instructions around livestock, equipment and restricted areas. Do not enter cattle pens unless invited.
Photography: Photos and videos are generally welcome, but please ask before photographing staff, business records or sensitive areas.
